LEGO Skylines Release Date
No official window from Paradox — only a Nintendo store year and a lot of coming soon.
The most searched sentence on this wiki will stay boring until Paradox types a date. LEGO Skylines has no announced release date. The official FAQ says they have not announced a date just yet and points you at the newsletter and YouTube. Steam says Coming soon. That is the canonical answer.
Secondary listings are allowed to be more specific than the publisher. Nintendo UK and Nintendo Life currently show 2027 for the Switch 2 SKU. Brick Fanatics relayed a first-half-2027 expectation from industry chatter. Eurogamer’s game page has used a placeholder day. None of those override the FAQ. If you set a reminder, set it to “watch the newsletter,” not “launch party in March.”
Platforms that will get the date together
Paradox announced Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 in the same sentence. There is no last-gen SKU. There is no mobile SKU. There is no staggered “PC first, consoles later” promise in the press release — Iceflake is pitching a simultaneous current-gen launch. That can still slip. It has not slipped because it has not been dated.
When a date lands, check all four stores. Cross-saves are unconfirmed. Wishlist the one you will play via how to wishlist or the platforms tool.
Pre-orders, price, requirements
Pre-orders are not open. Price is TBA. Recommended system requirements are TBA. Age ratings already exist: PEGI 3, ESRB Everyone. Ratings boards can date a product before a publisher does; that is how the May leak happened. It is not a street date.
How to think about 2027
A Nintendo year is a useful prior. City-builders from this publisher do not usually surprise-drop six weeks after a teaser. Iceflake is also on Cities: Skylines II duty. A 2027 window is plausible and unofficial. This page will say “Paradox confirmed Qx 2027” only when they do. Until then, 2027 is a store field.
What you can do while you wait
Learn the loop on how to play. Pick a city type. Tick a city planner. Follow news instead of leak accounts. If you need a hardware guess, requirements explains why we will not publish a fake GPU list.
When the date is real, this article will gain a table: platform, SKU, time zone, editions. Today the table would have four rows of TBA. We would rather be empty than wrong.
Treat every calendar invite as unofficial until it is on the Paradox FAQ. A Nintendo year is a hint, not a street date. A YouTuber countdown is marketing. When the real date lands, update your wishlist store first via platforms, then reread how to play the night before so the first plot is not a panic. Pre-orders will have their own paragraph here; they do not have one today because they are not open.
Until Paradox types a day, this page is a holding pattern: wishlist, learn the loop, ignore countdowns. Nintendo 2027 is a store field. Steam coming soon is a store field. Neither is a launch party. Recheck the FAQ via links whenever a thumbnail claims a month. Wait for Paradox, not a thumbnail.
