LEGO Skylines Build Hub

Players search “tier list” for city-builders because they want a first-hour order, not a PvP meta. LEGO Skylines does not have balance patches yet. This hub is still the right place for that search: what to build, in what order, and which city fantasy to commit to before the toy box opens.

The three child pages split the problem. Buildings ranks the pieces named in the trailer and press kit. Services ranks the municipal stack. City types ranks the three fantasies Paradox already wrote down: beautiful, weird, yours — plus farm town versus cultural capital.

How we rank a game that is not out

We do not invent DPS. We rank by how early a piece appears in official copy, how likely it is to gate other systems, and how hard it is to retrofit later. A road is S-tier because nothing attaches without it. A sports arena is C-tier today because it is a growth reward in the same paragraph as “first house.” That will change if Iceflake makes arenas cheap. We will move the row.

Rumor stays in footnotes, not in the table. BrickLink Studio import is interesting and unconfirmed. Story mode is the same. DLC is planned and undescribed. Those notes live on DLC and announcement.

The first-city shortlist

If you only remember seven placements:

1. Plot and first house.
2. Road.
3. Electricity.
4. Food (shop, field, or both).
5. Water.
6. Park.
7. Pad space for hospital, garbage, sewage.

That shortlist is also the city planner. The ranking pages explain why a museum is not on it.

Buildings versus services versus vibe

Buildings are the toys: homes, shops, bakeries, hospitals, museums, arenas, decorations, the Ice Tower if you subscribed. Services are the rules: power, water, waste, health, production. City types are the save file you are actually making. Mixing them in one table makes every row an argument. Keeping them split means the happiness guide can point at parks without ranking a sewage plant as “unfun.”

How to use this hub after launch

When numbers exist, S will mean “place in hour one,” A “place when unlocked,” B “nice when the rating allows,” C “wait,” D “trap.” Until then, S means “named as a basic,” A “named as a love item,” B “named as a growth unlock,” C “art-only or rumor.” If a content creator publishes a numbered tier list before a build, they are ranking a press release.
