LEGO Skylines System Requirements
Paradox has not posted a spec sheet. This page tracks that gap instead of inventing a 3070.
Recommended system requirements are coming soon. That is a FAQ sentence, not a wiki failure. A fake table with made-up VRAM would rank on Google and fail on launch week. We will not publish one.
Here is everything that is actually known about hardware and suitability, plus how to prepare a PC or console without lying to yourself.
What is rated and shipped as a claim
- Platforms: Steam (Windows implied), PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2.
- Steam Deck compatibility: unknown.
- Age: PEGI 3, ESRB Everyone.
- Players: single-player in store listings.
- Date: unannounced; Nintendo year 2027 in some stores. See release date.
No CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, or OS version is in the FAQ, the Steam blurb we can quote, or the press release.
How to read “cozy” versus Cities: Skylines II
Iceflake is the current Cities: Skylines II studio. That does not mean LEGO Skylines will demand the same machine. The art style is brick, the tone is cozy, the Switch 2 SKU exists. Those three facts point at a lighter visual budget than a photoreal sim, and they are still not a GHz number. Do not copy a CS2 minimum list into this page. Wrong game.
If you bounced off CS2 performance, this announcement is allowed to be hopeful. Hope is not a benchmark. Wait for a diary or a Steam Deck rating.
Console expectations you can actually have
PS5 and Series machines will run a Paradox current-gen builder; that is the point of those SKUs. Resolution modes, 30 vs 60, and load times are unlisted. Switch 2 is the SKU people will worry about. Handheld city-builders can be excellent or muddy. We will not guess which. When Nintendo or Paradox posts a performance note, it goes here.
PC checklist that does not need a GPU column
- Wishlist Steam so the client notifies you when a spec table appears — platforms.
- Keep a 10 GB-class hole free. We do not have an install size. A city-builder plus a brick art pack will not be 400 MB and might not be 100 GB. Leave room.
- Do not buy a new graphics card for this title until minimums exist.
- If you only have a handheld PC, wait for Deck verification. Unknown means unknown.
Accessibility and family hardware
PEGI 3 / ESRB E and the “play beside a younger family member” FAQ line imply a living-room game as much as a rig game. That is why Switch 2 and consoles are in the first sentence of the announcement. If your household shares a TV, the platform picker matters more than a CPU model.
When the table exists, this page becomes a table plus a “what we still do not know” footnote. Until then, the useful requirement is patience. Spend the wait on how to play and the city planner, not on a shopping cart.
Until a table exists, the honest hardware advice is: do not spend money for this SKU alone. A current-gen console already in the house is enough of a bet. A mid-range PC from the last four years is a reasonable hope, not a guarantee. Recheck this page the day Paradox posts mins, then compare it to the platforms picker before you buy anything new.
