Game overview

A standalone city-builder, not a Cities: Skylines DLC

LEGO Skylines gameplay screenshot of a brick city with roads, parks, and services

LEGO Skylines is a cozy, customizable city-builder from Iceflake Studios and Paradox Interactive. You start on a single plot, cover electricity, food, and water, then grow a city your minifigure citizens actually like. It is a standalone game — not Cities: Skylines III and not DLC. Start with how to play, then the build hub and the release date notes.

Wishlist-to-first-city

Five steps to take before you drop the first plot.

  1. 1

    Wishlist the right store

The game is on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2. Use the platform tool so you do not bookmark a last-gen listing.

  2. 2

Watch what the trailer actually shows

The official clip is short, but it shows plots, minifigures, and a living street. Pair it with how to play so you know what is confirmed versus hoped for.

  3. 3

    Learn the service stack

Paradox's own pitch starts with roads, electricity, food, and water, then hospitals, garbage, and sewage. The services ranking is the order we expect to matter.

  4. 4

Decide what kind of city you want

A donut-bakery town, a museum capital, or a weird skyline all fit the brief. Sketch the vibe on city types before you obsess over one landmark.

  5. 5

Grab the Ice Tower while it is free

The newsletter currently promises an Ice Tower for your future skyline. Details sit on the DLC page next to paid and free post-launch plans.
